How to wear a tissue saree | Dolly Jain Saree Draping

Every time, without fail, a new saree arrives at my doorstep from a store or a designer, the first question that comes my way is, “What drape are you going to choose for this saree?” And every time, I find myself unable to provide an immediate answer until I feel the fabric in my hands.

It’s as if the drape of the saree naturally unfolds itself once it touches me, a truth that resonates deeply within me.

I never pre-determine a specific drape for any saree; instead, I let the fabric speak to me, allowing my mood and the texture of the fabric to guide me.
I simply surrender to the moment and let the saree lead the way, effortlessly flowing with its rhythm…

I’m not sure if you can relate to this experience, but whenever I drape a saree, I never adhere to a set style. Each drape is a spontaneous creation, a reflection of my emotions and the essence of the fabric itself….
