VW Golf MK7 (5G) hatch pop remote trunk tailgate activation

This tweak will let you unlock your #trunk and open tailgate lid with your remote control. By pressing and holding keyfob button you will hear that trunk lock is opening. After installing springs on struts or by retrofitting power tailgate kit you will be able to remotely #pop open the trunk.

This procedure was done in Volkswagen #GolfMK7 (5G) but other cars on the MQB platform (Audi A3 8V, Seat Leon 5F, Skoda Octavia 5E) should have the same feature with the same activation procedure.

Your car must be off. Press and hold the "Hatch" open button on your remote for two seconds. If you hear the lock "click" you are good to go.
