My biggest problem is lack of interest in superfluous conversation. My last job sucked because coworkers would start conversations thinking I was just shy and needed to get used to them but it was exhausting, feigning interest and empathy when I could easily sit in silence and do my work.

I'm not disagreeing with the intelligence bit, but every introvert i meet blows me away by their intelligence, and their awareness of other people, their in depth knowledge of countless topics and their general kindness. You just have to break through their protective shell and prove to them you aren't a threat. They're my favourite kind of people, and their changing moods about if they can hang out or not depending on how they're feeling is even better because if they spend time with you, it's because they actually want to.

I don't know sometimes I wish I could enjoy time with people but when im with them after about 5 minutes then I wish I was by myself. It's such a struggle. I have to go on autopilot if I go in public or do things in normal settings. I'm not shy I just don't like socializing or dumb strangers
