Learn what to do if you can't go live on TikTok in this quick and easy guide.

TikTok has two requirements to go live on the app. The first is that you need 1,000 or more followers to go live. The other requirement is that you must be 16 years or older, or at least you needed to have selected 16 years or older age when you signed up for TikTok.

If you have under 1,000 followers there's not much you can do to go live, you just need to keep creating awesome content and get more followers. If you have more than 1k followers and still can't go live then potentially you put your age as under 16 when you signed up for the account.

If you're both 16 or over and have 1,000 or more followers then you should be able to go live. If it's not working I'll walk you through the steps you can take to submit a help request to TikTok to allow the feature on your account. If you just got to the 1,000 follower milestone it may take a few days for the feature to be unlocked as well. Remember you also need to be 18 years or older to receive gifts while live. So even though you can be 16 or 17 and go live, you can't have followers send you gifts until you're 18 or older.

Mine is telling me I’m not 18 years old. I’ve uploaded my passport I’m 22 years old. Sometimes it lets me go live and sometimes it doesn’t and tells me that I am not 18 to qualify.? Every time I report a problem he literally does nothing it does not give me the opportunity to re-upload my information!
