I must admit there was a group at my local Mall dressed in iconic costumes like; Daleks, Cybermen, Stormtroopers and the one and only Darth Vader and he had Vader's saunter downpat; it was really unnerving having Vader saunter towards you with raspy breathing and his cape flowing just like it does in the films... I've never wanted to get on an escalator more.

I seriously, genuinely hope this show completely blows our minds and expectations. Not just because I want some good Star Wars content but because we have Ewan and Hayden back on our screens after nearly two decades. Hayden especially deserves some love after what he went through and I believe he has every chance in the world to be as iconic a Darth Vader as Prowse and James Earl Jones.

With Vader, however, even if you’re not a Star Wars fan there’s something so terrifying about him, it’s the combination of size, mechanical soulless movement and sound, and that sixth sense of primitive fear that builds until it consumes you. He’s still, despite Disney’s bumbling, the perfect villain.

I saw the original Vader (David Prowse) in the suit at a public appearance when I was about 7 years old.. He was mobbed by kids and signed autographs for everyone. He signed them "Darth Vader" obviously. I still have that bit of paper probably somewhere in a box in a loft or garage.. I have no idea where. To say you met the actual Vader was pretty awesome as a kid.

I think I may have a heart attack when Obi-Wan faces Vader too. The excitement is fucking killing me. Seriously, I don't think I've been this excited for a piece of media for a while. Halo Infinite was probably the last one. I'm almost counting the days at this point. Which, for the record, is 10 more days

I've seen Vader from a local 501st chapter here up close during a Rogue One premiere night at the theater and I didn't think I would ever react that way in person and that he must only be intimidating in movies, but I was mistaken. I had real fear surge through me. I was about 20-25 feet away, and all I could think about while buying my ticket was "I hope to god he doesn't look over at me and stays distracted!" He had the breathing and was surrounded by 2 imperials and a trooper too, so it was the full feel. I literally felt like my life was in danger.
