Wait, maybe don’t do that, that’s pretty mean. Take my word for it that cats and snakes are among the oldest of enemies. Not that every cat is going to run away from some slithery snake that’s just shown up on its turf. Some cats are ready for the fight.

My grandpa had a little gray female cat named Molly who used to kill Eastern Massassaguas and would bring back the heads as trophies. Eastern Massassagua is a small (2 ft long) rattlesnake found in the Midwestern US. A bite from one of those snakes, even though they're a relatively small snake, would be deadly to a cat. She wasn't afraid! She lived 20 years and murdered thousands of mice, moles, rabbits, chipmunks, and snakes.

People don't realize how fast and deadly a house cat really is. My ozzy scared off a bull mastiff that my dad had. My ozzy is a 16 week old kitten tuxedo cat. They have zero fear and are fast and smart. Dogs are scary but cats are literally hunter predators

Cats are natural hunters, despite the fact that they live indoors as pets because of how their bodies are built. Doesn't matter if its a wild cat or domesticated cat, they both are skilled hunters before they were domesticated.
Cats almost always win the fights because it's simple, they have better agility and reflexes than snakes.
