"Longer" is a song written and recorded by the American singer-songwriter Dan Fogelberg and released in 1979 by Full Moon Records and Epic Records. The song can be found on Fogelberg's 1979 album Phoenix. It was also included on his 1982 greatest hits album as well as various other retrospective and compilation recordings.
"Longer" was released as a single in late 1979, prior to the release of the album Phoenix. It became Fogelberg's highest-charting hit of his career, spending two weeks at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March 1980.
In addition, "Longer" became the first of the singer's four No. 1 songs on the Billboard adult contemporary chart between 1980 and 1984. The song reached No. 85 on the Billboard country music chart.
In the United Kingdom, "Longer" was Fogelberg's only song to reach the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at No. 59. (Wikipedia)

Georgy Porgy’s Favourites Uploaded: Dan Fogelberg - Longer (1979)
This is a delightful surprise both singer and song. I know both and I’m transported back but in a whirlwind of past times.
You’ve put your video skills on Red alert 🚨 It’s a perfectly positive love ❤️ story beautifully told with your usual genius touches.
I’m loving all the different settings throughout the year.
The flashing, shootings stars ✨ are a must. I enjoyed the 🎺 Trumpet maybe . The lyrics were a lover’s paradise.
Also, A C & W setting I know very little of these type of songs. He sings so delightfully.
I’m unsure where your next favourite is going to to take you to.
I’m going to listen to singer/song much Longer to enjoy it more.
Only one word to describe it:
Perfection. …. Aggh Divine.
