how did 25% change to 1.25? wish you didn't skip how you got to the answer... because I would figure that equals .25 ?

This helped me a lot to find the original amount of fatal accidents in Turkey in the year 2005. It increased by 90% by the year 2014 to 168, 512. So the original amount of fatal accidents had to be way lower in the first year of the decade. Every time I got an answer and multiplied it back by 90%, I got some other answer far off from 168, 512. Luckily depending on how I do this after finding the original amount, it can sometimes produce an answer of 168, 511.

How is 25% inc 1.25 and not 0.25 if all u have to do is change the percentage into a decimal. Not explained well
