Yesterdays drink glass was on my desk with fruit pith in it, and there are now fruit flies buzzing around it. I am reassured that these fruit flies have probably been attracted rather than hatched on the fruit that was in my drink I hope.

I put the traps in mugs and wait until live ones are all over it then I quickly cover the top with something flat so they can’t get out yet, and then I take them outside in front or back and take it off so they can fly away and maybe pass on their own genes.

Not to take away from any product you are selling and on the whole find drosophila adorable but I once put vinegar into a soy sauce bottle the Kikkoman ones are distinct with 2 pouring slots and the flies were so attracted to vinegar but could not escape the jar I felt sorry for them. A very cheap alternative I would say
