I relate to Camryn's struggle. It comes from being beautiful, talented and a high performer and a sweet person... Also combine that with parents with high expectations & sometimes one or both parents has an unwillingness to effectively listen and empathize... It results in overthinking, perfectionism and people pleasing behaviors. It can be overcome but it's a lifetime of work sometimes.

when u go off to college after growing up in Mississippi u start seeing and feeling life so differently. Camryn is experiencing life outside the bubble and developing. its like shedding layers 2 become the adult u were meant 2 be . i advice every person 2 get therapy being black our race never had that time 2 compartmentalize our thoughts. just in the 60s being black was considered a mental illness .
