Hey guys! It's time go into 2018 absolutely jamming!

The entire Mega Man series is known to have some of the most energetic video game music around. I might dare say that this theme is one of the most intense even of the series!

I wanted to capture the energy of the original theme first and foremost. The rhythm section in this song is constantly pummeling you and doesn't let up. The challenge for me was staying true to this energy while also trying to put my own feel on it. I did this by putting in some different drum beats and even a half-time drum section at the end but still keeping the double bass banging and the rhythm guitars constantly crushing to keep the energy up.

The leads were a TON of fun to do on this arrangement. I was super true to the original because they're just so memorable and a blast to play as they are. I made up for this however by throwing an original solo section that allowed me to do my own interpenetration of the awesome pre-chorus chord progression!

X5 had such a terrific OST and this track is arguably the most memorable of the game if not one of the most memorable in the X series. You did great man. This is one of those tracks that's so good by itself that you can't really top it as much as remake it your own and I think that was your intent. Good stuff! More X series love. :)
