Strictly fans have been left shocked as Pete Wicks, who was tipped as the favourite to leave, sailed through to the semi-finals whilst Eastenders star Jamie Borthwick was eliminated from the competition. My friends and I met Pete outside the pavilion theatre in Glasgow, and he was lovely and really funny. He is so self depricating and appreciates all the support he and Jowita have had, and i have really enjoyed watching his strictly journey ❤

I’m sorry I don’t want to see people who have a dance background be it pop, classical or modern in the final they have an advantage which is not fair. Pete has made the most improvement on the show.

Pete doesn’t have any dance experience a lot of the other dancers do have previous dance experience. Pete definitely deserves to still be in the competition. I also feel the judges are deliberately giving him low scores so people vote for him.

If we wanted to watch pro dancers we would tune to a different channel. We watch strictly to watch people like Pete who could barely clap on beat and improve night after night. Yes he deserves to be there.

I’ve heard a lot of stories about people who have met Pete at shows, or just in the street or whatever, and I have never heard a bad word be said about him and that speaks volumes for me

Strictly's become more of a popularity contest than a dance contest. Pete's dancing isn't why he's still in the show, and even he's admitted that. Although I don't think he'll win, i admire him for going on the show having had no dance experience.

l think many people forget this is an 'entertainment show" not an official dance competition. It is all about having fun, and if some progress and do well for either dance or likeability reasons then so be it. Look how the pro dancers all support one another, there is no 'in fighting' it is all down to pure family entertainment, both the Strictly Family and the families of the fans out there who enjoy the show.

I vote for him every week because I enjoy seeing a non dancer learn. He is genuinely a nice man. I've never voted before but I chose to vote for. Chris or Pete to win. Non dancers improving make the show.

It’s a popularity contest. Pete has been the worst dancer for a few weeks even though he’s an improver. He should have went about 3 weeks ago. Tasha shouldn’t have been chosen from the outset given she had trained as a dancer.
