Produced on the Oil Down & Saraca Riddim, which was released for Grenada’s 50th anniversary of independence, “Our Home, 13 Square Miles” is “a testament to our strength, determination and resilience,” says John James, Creative Director of Palm Tree Vybez. “In the midst of the destruction, it still didn’t break our spirit; we know that we will rebuild stronger and better.” James continues, “Even in the most challenging times, music has the power to uplift and unite, and this, perhaps, is one of our most meaningful productions. Our goal is that it becomes a source of inspiration for our island community and everyone who listens. And we will look back in a few years time and be proud of how far we have come.”

“Our Home, 13 Square Miles” was written by Jason “Xpert” James and features a multi-generational ensemble of musicians and singers who were in Carriacou when Hurricane Beryl made landfall. The accompanying music video was directed, filmed and edited by John James.
