I would prefer Ripple to go 'all in' even if it takes us into early next year. We were warned it would take this long, so make it count. It is the only way to make the SEC truly accountable for their practice of indiscriminate 'regulation by enforcement' without clarity in the crypto market. 1) Hinman was invited to give that speech because he was part of the SEC, not because of his wonderful views on needlepoint.
2) I would bet that Hinman was on the SEC clock for that trip, and travel expenses were paid for by the SEC during that trip.
3) Can it not be said that Hinman was acting in the capacity of an SEC employee during that trip and subsequent speech.
4) Therefore, he was either acting in the capacity of an SEC employee or he was giving the speech as an everyday citizen (personal opinion), not an SEC employee.
5) If he was giving that speech as an everyday citizen, why did the US government pay for his travel expenses? Would that be considered fraudulent use of government funds?

If the SEC does appeal this to another Judge to delay things... then Ripple should NOT agree to any settlement to just to allow the SEC to get off the hook... or have to be be accountable for their lies & actions that HURT the company - Ripple & the public (whom there were elected to protect)... It makes me mad that Congress hasn't stopped this BS at the SEC... & I know I am NOT alone!! Gensler needs to go!!! & Hinman need to be investigated... NO MORE DELAYING!!

Thank you Jeremy for the clear explanation. The bad news imho is not really that bad. We would love to see a resolution on XRP within the year. But, we've waited so long already and the case does seem to be leaning in Ripples favor. I guess it's a situation of more HODLing while we wait for a clear cut ruling in favor of XRP holders and the crypto industry in general.

J.Hogan, Please help me understand how after a year of requiring these emails the judges have not called the SEC'S abuse of her patience contempt of court. Explain it to me like I'm 5 years old.
