For those of you who wonder if this program works... It does on those who are flirting with criminal behavior. I know some teens who went through it at Quentin during the 90's

The Scared Straight program really works but only if your country's prison system is messed up, like my country. I live in SouthEast Asia. Prisons here are filthy especially the cells. If you are unlucky, you might get a cell that is full of roaches.

I knew a guy who went to one of those "Scared straight" programs. He said that was enough to make him start getting better grades in school. He got an Army ROTC Scholarship and was one of the better officers I dealt with in the Army. It was hard to believe he was ever the type who needed that program.

I was in my states very first scared straight program.damn near 46 years ago. Been flying straight since. Seriously put shit into perspective for my young dumb ass. Had a few bumps in my mid teens, but nothing more than juvie level crap due to said program and a foster father who pulled no punches with the reminder of what i saw and the path i was heading if i did not remember what i learned. That program really saved my ass as i look back over my life now that i am in my 50's
