F2P can work for a fighting game with regular tournaments. People pay to compete, support the game, more tournaments bigger prizes. I'm glad they're trying something new, it could work out. IT can't be worse than SF5 coming out half baked and had DLC that costed a stupid amount of money.

Seems like the fighting game genre is about to change the business model. Multiverse and now this free to play? Most likely going to change the market which is a good thing because fighting games in general are so damn expensive.

honestly glad that its f2p, recently good fighting games have been coming out. But are reduced to discord fighters seeing as some people usually get filtered due to the price tag as well as learning curve some of these games have. Who knows maybe since its league it would still get a bunch of players even if it was payed, but F2P is still very reassuring
