I have been a Star Wars fan since 77 when I saw a New Hope at the last drive in theater in my town and I love Book of Boba Fett !

The rapid advancement of technology is defined by Kurzweil's Law, the law of accelerating returns, which states that as technology evolves, so does it continue to evolve at an exponential rate - it took thousands of years to get from the wheel to the steam engine, but less than 300 years to get from the steam engine to landing on the Moon. However, Kurzweil's Law also states that just as with biological evolution, technological evolution only continues for as long as it is necessary. The human eye, for example, evolved to its current state thousands, tens of thousands, of generations ago and has not evolved beyond its current state because there is no need for it to. If there were a cataclysm that required us to all go live in deep, dark caves, then that would be the shift that would kick-start evolution again and our eyes would eventually evolve to have greater vision in the dark. The same goes for technology. Droids do not need to be advanced to fancier or more advanced models because droid technology has already reached the level required for everything droids do.

TL;DR technology in Star Wars has reached a plateau and has not continued to evolve and change because there is no need for it to.

Prepare the sonic hate bombs - I LOVED seeing Yoda's fight scene with the Emperor. I know - I'm an idiot. But seeing him cut loose made me smile.

Cad Bane’s death was the most fitting death of all characters. If they bring him back, it has to be pre death in book of boba

the way he shows Luke up on Dagobah when he lifts Luke's x wing out of the bog after when Luke claimed it was too difficult.

My favorite Yoda moment is the speech he tells Luke on Dagobah, "...luminous beings are we, not this crude matter..."
Best lines in the entire saga.

Number 6 does actually get somewhat of an explanation in Andor. The young rebel philosopher in the second arc (forget his name) says that under the empire, technology has been excessively standardised so they can control what people can do, killing innovation and in many cases actively regressing the state of technology. This is hinted at in The Mandalorian when Din gets the naboo starfighter. It's stated several times that this kind of ship just isn't made anymore, despite being superior in almost every way to modern starfighters (they could go to lightspeed in episode 1 where in episode 2 the jedi starfighters needed a specific lightspeed rig). This shows how individual planets may have had far better tech under their own governance but under the empire had to regress to empire-standard tech.

Unanswered Question Number 11 - How many more times will WhatCulture ask how Maz got Luke's light saber?

9:53 Maz getting the lightsaber is revealed in a Star Wars Visions episode. The stop motion Ardman episode has a brief cameo in the background where you see a merchant stall selling Luke’s lightsaber and even his hand in a jar. If you watch the full scene, you can see Maz’ hand steal the saber.

The legends explaination of the way Yoda talks is because his master spoke that way.

One word that best describes Cad Bane is resourceful. He stood up to Jedi on multiple occasions. He has also been one to properly prepare for the job he is handling properly along with studying his opponent. He already knew his opponent is someone he taught that happened to be the son of Jango someone he also owed a favor to and worked alongside with. Cad even though he got beaten by Boba he lost fairly easy. So, either he died due to bad handling of the character from the writers, or he took a fall for some reason. We never saw what happened to the body afterwards either,

And I never put too much thought into the broom kid other than he was just used to represent force users coming out of hiding and teased the idea of Rey's new Jedi academy. It could have been any kid for the same reasons.

Star Wars, where the most obscure and miniscule characters are fleshed out with intricate backstories. But new intriguing and cool character's, we know nothing about, have to be mystery box enigmas.

I desperately want Broom Kid to show up in the Rey movie. The final scene of The Last Jedi is my favorite closer of the whole saga.

Regarding tech advancements: it’s not too surprising that the ships don’t change that much over the course of 3 decades. Consider this: the main battle tank used by the US Army is the M1 Abrams. This tank first went into service in 1980… 44 years ago!
