Huge 60x48 Canvas With Beautiful Cells. A Challenge Well Worth It!

I decided to just go for it. Why not, right? It's just paint on a canvas...and I'm glad I did! I love the way this one turned out and it fits perfectly in its planned spot.

This one was heavy. If you didn't see me struggle at the beginning while tilting, you missed it. I wasn't even sure I would be able to tilt it. For a second, I thought...what did I do! I attacked it from a different angle and it all worked out. This was a workout though!

I love these large canvases for how beautiful they can turn out and how challenging they are (both physically and mentally). But if you don't try, how will you ever know?

Great ideas are not going to find you. They must be pursued. It requires risk, time, effort and a lot of failure! But if you do what you've always done, you're going to get what you've always had. Take a spontaneous step into something inspiring! That action can lead to another, and another and so on...

And please...stop being afraid to go against the grain and try something new/different...even if you fail!

Ask yourself: When was the last time you tried something for the first time?

It's gorgeous and absolutely perfect in the space. I've been staring at a blank 30x40 for weeks, I know what I want but I keep stumbling over the blank-canvas trepidation. I have a few very ornate baroque and rococo frames and I really love the way the modern fluid art looks juxtaposed with those frames. Thank you for sharing Nicole! You always inspire me to get paint down on a canvas!

First of all, I'm concerned about the amount of yogurt you consume over the course of the year, but most importantly, this piece turned out KILLER! Couldn't ask for a better result on a canvas that enormous!
I just got back from Michael's with a 30x40 that was 70% off and rang up for $21.
Also, your color pallet for this one is gorgeous!
