Memorial Day weekend of this year I had the infection. Friday May 26th, I am on a Keto diet and part of it is I can eat Turkey burgers. I made 2 of them and I have done it millions of times before without a problem. I started to become sick at around 3:00am and thought it was a minor stomach ache, took some antibiotics for my stomach and went back to bed. Woke up feeling like I was very weak and had a bad night. Went out still because I had to run some errands, came back home and went right to sleep on the couch because I just couldn’t make it to my bed. Sunday I started to feel worse and started having diarrhea and thought ok I have food poisoning, no big deal it will clear up in a few days. On Memorial Day I woke up with horrible pain in my stomach and took my self to the emergency room. The doctor there didn’t help me, so I went to another clinic for help. The doctor told me I had bacteria in my stomach and inflammation causing my stomach to swell up, she also told me I had salmonella and that what was causing all my symptoms. She listened to my lungs and she told me that I had fluid in my lungs and that the infection is moving to my lungs. It was so painful and scary to think that omg this infection is inside me and it’s heading for my lungs. The doctor immediately gave me 2 pills and a shot to help clear up the infection and fluid. I was put on 4-5 different medications for the salmonella. It was an absolute living Hell for me to go through that. I am never eating another turkey patty ever again after the experience I suffered.
If you are going to eat a turkey patty, please be sure that it’s cooked all the way or you will suffer the consequences like i did.

Guys, if you eat a bit f cookie dough or brownie mix it’s fine, nothing will happen, but if you were to eat 8 whole spoonfuls of it or 2 raw eggs you would have a bigger chance of getting it.
