Do you know this trick with your car key? - Here I show you what you can do with it!

If you have a car key with a wireless remote, then you should know this trick. Yet many people don't know this trick! Because you can use your car key to raise or lower your windows. How exactly this works, I show you in this video.

For this you only have to hold the button to open or close for several seconds. If you want to lower the windows, it should be the open button and if you want to close them, the button to lock the doors.

After 2-3 seconds the windows will start to open or close. This is especially useful if you forget to close a window. You only have to press the button and the window will close without you having to get into the car again to close the windows.

Be sure to try it out next time.

Learned about this option years ago.. this feature was shown to me by the Salesman who was selling me the car… unlike any car salesman I’ve dealt with over the past few years… Car salesman actually use to show and explain to you ALL the Options Big and Small that the car had.

I found this out be accident to open the windows, but I didn't realize you could close them again by holding the close button for the same amount of time. So, I say, thank you very much for highlighting this.

My little Dashound lying on my knees hit the button and opened all the windows of the car during a heavy rain 🌧 storm first time i realised you could do this 😆

Fords have had this function for over 10/15 years, I speak through experience, as i used to work in a Ford garage !

Since the last 15 years especially in the higher end vehicles holding down the unlock button on the FOB would open the windows. As time went buy more of the medium to lower end vehicles started to have this feature as described.

Doesn't work with my 2012 Toyota Sienna, nor 2012 Nissan Versa. It used to work on my 1999 VW Jetta though. I doubt it will work on my 1985 Mercedes-Benz.

Yip great feature on my Peugot van and when the passenger window failed in the open position i have to stop then activate the lock function on the key fob hold down until the window closes.

Yes I also knew about this feature on my current and previous Ford Focus. But you have to hold the button for 10 seconds. However withe keyless entry, you don’t tend to touch the key these days, and the key’s range is significantly reduced on my new focus, to try to prevent people scanning your key. So you end up stood next to the car before the windows open. If you open a door before the windows start to open, the feature does not work.

I tried this on my Toyota Camry 2020 it did not work. Also on 2017 Camry still did not work. Any advice
