So I found out later that after 1 week the trial ends. The full version (which you need for 1080p) is only 10 bucks. Do you think that it’s worth it? Probably. It’s definitely cheaper than a c920 or even a cheap webcam.

Ps: as far as I know there is no Mac version available yet

For android download IP Cam which is free (it actually discourages you from buying the Pro version saying there isn't much difference).


To connect the camera to your PC you have to use networking over USB. Turn off the wifi on the hone, plug in the USB cable and turn on tethered USB. Run the app on your phone and configure the app then start the server. This will give you a video only mjpeg stream, sound only .wav stream or sound and video h264 + PCM stream.


There is latency at 4k . The h264+pcm is also very laggy but at 1080 the video only seems fine, great if you have a seperate microphone. The video is accessed over a network stream in your browse, VLC Player or any app that can access a camera through an IP address

This is the best solution I could find to get best quality and latency. GoPro Hero 3+ solution has high delay and other interruptions, old SONY handycam has USB stream, but no drivers or need to buy camlink or convertor. Thank you for this tutorial.

great video thanks for sharing. for those interested apparently iriun webcam doesn't have a permanent watermark with free version, only in the first 5 secs (from what I can tell)

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I'm trying to give violin/piano lessons online and I needed a 3rd camera. With all the good webcams sold out I had to make do with 2 cams. I had one at my pc for violin lessons, and one over my piano to show what keys I'm playing, but my students couldn't see my face. now I can switch from my pc for violin lessons and then show a split screen of my keyboard and my face for piano lessons!!!! This literally took me 10 minutes to get set up after watching your video! THANK YOU SO MUCH

how to get it without the "logo" in the corner?
its pretty easy
1. record on your phone
2.send the video to the pc
3. sync the two video footage on an editing software
this is only for normal videos
cannot be used for live stream
