Guys … use a deep socket over the drill bit to limit the debt . You can use pressure to drill without punching to deep .

Tried to install mine today. These plus nuts/cross nuts are trash, they just spin and won't expand when using the hex coupler. Ended up ordering a hand rivet nut/setter tool that comes with enough rivet nuts to do the job. Note that an actual plus nut tool is $60-70 while rivet nut setter tools with hardware can be found for $40 and up. The tutorial is much appreciated though. I probably will avoid products that use plus nuts from now on though honestly.

Yep having the same problem with theses plus nuts got 5 out of 10 to hold.Now searching how to fix them. Happy Father’s Day to me. Ya video is great but let’s not fast forward the part where these inserts are installed because I guarantee he had the same problem I did this thing step-by-step to the tea and can’t get them to work let’s go spend some more time and money to get this thing to work very disappointed. Yeah and thanks for the directions inside the box

Since I have the same set up on my ram an I'm thinking of getting that rack for the cab and the topper ehat side would you get for that topper so it flows nice ?

I've been trying to install some light bar brackets and can't seem to even make headway in drilling into that ditch channel... Is there an Excalibur of drill bits I should be using? I've tried cobalt etc

I purchased the rack and started the installation on my 22 ram. I recommend staying away from this rack as the rivets are not as explained. There is no "specific bolt" with the kit as he states (see 5:32). I was not able to tighten the rivets as explained and now have no roof rack but I do have 2 holes in my roof. I contacted support and they were no help (although courteous). It's unfortunate as it looks good and SEEMS to have less wind resistance than the competitors. In addition, there are no instruction guides in the box or on their website.

Wrong Wrong Wrong! It is not a Dodge Ram. It is a Ram. Dodge hasn't made a truck since 2008.
