According to the CDC.GOV website, as many as 62 people each year on average ARE KILLED by hornets, bees, or wasps in the united states.

I’m 53 years old and that’s the kind of stuff I used to do when I was a kid. One time I used my moms entire can of hair spray as a flamethrower on a nest. Almost caught the tree on fire. My dad gave me shit in front of my mom but then wanted to see it. I think deep down he wanted to do that as well.
