It’s my belief I may be wrong but she seems so mixed up I don’t think she knows what she wants

I don’t know if the move will work for you as you seem to move as soon as you feel bored or are having a mental health struggle

Nothing like being close to family so your child can get to know them. Time goes too fast and we have to appreciate family while we have them.

This may be a unpopular opinion, and You have to do ultimately what’s best for you and your family assuming that both of you want this, otherwise there will be bitterness in the relationship. As a mother of a Nicu baby, I can’t imagine not having family nearby to help out and give you a break. Your relationship will be stronger when you have the ability to have breaks together and separate. Also, keep in mind no matter where you move there will always be challenging times. Stand strong and face them where ever you end up.

You never adopted a dog, you purchased a dog from a breeder, if you feel horrible about people giving away dogs, you should’ve adopted a dog, there’s thousands of dogs up for adoption, while thousands are sacrificed daily or die in shelters, you decided to buy one, don’t be an hypocrite with the topic.

I always loved your NY apartment. I think a busy city that’s not too crazy matches your energy and vibe. You can always fly back home to see family or they can fly over. You have a stable and steady partner by your side, your entire experience when you were pregnant was the true test of your relationship. If you can get through that together you can get through anything. At the end of the day life isn’t perfect and neither are our decisions. Do what makes you happy for now and if it doesn’t work out in the long run that’s cool too. Life is all about movement, you’re lucky you have the freedom and opportunity to make this move. No need to feel guilty. I hope it works out for you Renee 🤗

I understand the want to have a fresh start, but the cost of living in Boston is really high, especially compared to Tampa. Not to mention, the winters in Boston are pretty harsh, so be prepared to be stuck in the house with an infant. You also won’t be near any of your family members, and as a mother of a 18 month old, I couldn’t imagine living away from my family. Moving to a new city would’ve been a good idea if it was just the two of you, but I don’t believe it’s the best decision with an infant. Sorry if I’m playing devil’s advocate here..

I was wondering, haven’t seen your best friend in any of your vlogs lately. I hope you guys haven’t fallen out with each other :( . When she had a baby I remember you were there for her and it seems strange that she’s not in the picture now that you have yours.

Boston sounds good, the apartments though look all similar and not so different from the current one in Tampa...I thought you wanted a house with a garden, yard? Maybe I missed something in the last vlogs.

Lol at people warning you about the frigid Boston winters. The past few winters have had very little snow and higher than average temps (save for an odd day here or there).

So not only is Nova sick, she's now without her home and people. But at least it's more convenient and less expensive for you.

In the best way possible I think moving away from family is probably something that shouldn’t be done. Especially because you have voiced that it’s hard for you to do this mainly by yourself and you need help, so if you are moving somewhere that you have no one then your mental health will probably plummet further. I think with you still newly post partum and Bry being so little you should consider staying around family so you have others to reach out to and be able to come and help you when you need.

I have lived in Boston for over 25 yrs. It is a beautiful city BUT here are some things to consider...
Cost of living and especially housing is literally insane!!! I make a good salary but I can't get ahead! Also, driving in Boston is a nightmare. Many Bostonians are NOT warm and friendly too...

Boston is truly such a beautiful city! I grew up in the suburbs around Boston and now live in the city with my husband and love it, especially in the warmer months :) Hope you, Z, and Bryson are able to find a great home and community here if you end up moving. So happy for y'all, Renee! 💛

I’m originally from south Florida and have lived in Chicago for 10 years now. I’ve got an almost 2 and almost 4 year old and we love it here in the summer and fall but winter with kids has been a bit of a struggle feeling more cooped up- definitely considered moving back but we love the walkability, lakefront etc. There are definitely family friendly and safer neighborhoods- Lincoln park, lakeview, Andersonville, roscoe village, edgewater if you decide to explore this area. Good luck!

How'd you go from looking at houses in FL to Boston in a matter of weeks lol? The winters are so different lol. I moved around a few times in my 30's but eventually got tired of trying to start over again. In my 40's I finally moved back to one of those places and though the first two years were a struggle I finally have a decent community of interesting people to lean on and winters aren't too bad. Had to give up the big city though.

It seems like boston would be hard to live with a baby. It's incredibly expensive, especially the areas youre drawn too, and the winters can be harsh. There are areas you can walk around, but not all year, especially when it's snowing or raining. Definitely still going to need a car and that weather can be terrible to drive in. I know many people from there who moved here to Florida to get away from the winters there! Also, people with families tend to live in the suburbs. Those high rises are more geared towards single people or those without children. Not to mention the whole college town vibes with a bunch of partiers. It seems as if you just like moving around and the thrill of exploring new places. I hope you can find a place to settle down eventually for your son. Traveling is great but with kids having a stable home to grow up in without constantly switching schools and having to make new friends is more important than the thrill of always moving around like when you were single.

I understand what you're saying about giving your dog the best hope, but if it's lymphoma, there may not be much they can do. I personally could never leave my pet; especially knowing there might not be much time with her. I would want to be there on that day, when they see their human for the last time, and know it's okay to go.
