Nice, how long do you run the flush through the valve before it breaks it down and how long will it last? I have a Delta tub and shower (separate) and one has a lower flow rate and I'm guessing it's due to the mineral deposits.

Standard practice for me has always been to use a copper cleaning brush and thoroughly clean mechanically, wipe down and lubricate with plumbers grease. Then perform a water test and give 3 options for filtration.
