Episode 93 of our This Week in MXA video series, presented by O'Neal, features some 125 two-stroke battles between Josh Mosiman and Mike Alessi from the "Pasha 125 Open" race on Saturday at Glen Helen. Josh finished second after a close battle in moto 1, but made the pass and grabbed the win in moto 2 to take home the $2500 prize. Mike Alessi took second and $1500 as he now shifts his sights to Supercross for the Red Bull Straight Rhythm, October 15th. Also in this video, we show some testing on the 2023 Kawasaki KX250 and a wild concept Randel Fout put together on that bike. We also show some clips of MXGP rider Mattia Guadagnini on a GasGas MC250 two-stroke and Justin Hill on his new Team Tedder KTM ride. Plus, we show off the track map for this weekend's kickoff of the FIM World Supercross series, in Cardiff, Wales.

Alessi never disappoints with the hole shots!
We definitely need more pros on two strokes, the different sound and techniques used make it twice as much fun to watch even if they're going half as fast.

Your Moto 1 battle with Alessi was awesome! In person the last lap pass attempt in the Museum turn was awesome!

I've never been to Glen Helen but wow such an iconic track. Hopefully one day. But with that said, these kind of grass roots movements are what we need for the sport. I'm obviously a 2 stroke die hard. This is great. Between the track and that guy putting the purse up. Doesn't get any better!!

great vid and congrats on your race win, I believe racing the Nationals has defiently improved your racing. You can tell Mr. Fout is old school rider by the terminology of the front end "washes out", I remember reading test articles in both MXA and Dirt Bike in the late 70's and 80's and that term being used

Congrats on your win against Alessi but I was laughing when your mechanic said you're going to beat him on the start he's like the hole shot King

Hearing that 65-year-old talking about riding motorcycles was a real inspiration for me. I've been riding motorcycles all my life and I am now 63 years old. I try to ride every day mostly street bikes but I do have a couple of Suzuki RM 125 that need work now but I love dirt bike riding and honestly I love any type of motorcycle riding. I currently have three Harleys a Honda Goldwing two Yamahas Rd 350s, 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja, 1986 Suzuki rm125 and a 1996 Suzuki rm125

Interesting adding weight to the KX250. I was thinking about that same space between the frame and motor on the KTM 150 SX. Wonder if that weight would help the AER fork be more supple on small chatter bumps and slap down. But that same space works well on the 23 KTM/HUSKY 125's for the electric start motor.

Josh looked so much smoother in his cornering in moto 2, plus his line choice was much more open. What an awesome ride he put on.

Hello mxa, and to whom it may concern, i really like the idea of adding weight to the the kx250, but whats the difference between your weights and just putting an over sized gas tank allways full of gas, Thanks from Australia.
