I'm only putting this here because it was the most recent "fix" I've seen. I played with this issue for about 8 hours. I bought the disc, and downloaded Origin & The Sims 4 from the disc. Same issue with "Origin not running." What I ultimately did was "add or remove" everything relating to TS4 and Origin, and rather than installing it from the disc as I had tried about 4 times over, I went to the Origin website and downloaded their add on, once I had that going, I used the product key to download TS4 from their site. When it said save to which folder, I deleted the "Origin" part of the file and just saved it to "Program Files (x86)" and kept my fingers crossed while it took an hour to download. I finally got in!! I really hope this helps someone! Good luck guys!

i do not see a file in this that says anything about ultimate fix. it all takes you to the same thing. and in the meantime the link in the site will take you to another site that gets ya an ultimate fix update. i hope thats it. if not then this vid needs t be taken down
