lol. I always wondered this. I thought the computer just reversed the moves that were done to it... but it's not possible for it to "solve" like that, because nobody would have mixed up the cube without moving that top layer and mixing it up a little. Glad it answered that little question. (Was wondering if it was a cheap trick that just reverses the moves... so like if you took 50 moves to scramble it, it would just do those 50 moves in reverse).

Oh man, I remember back in highschool, these guys made a cube solver out of legos. It was in the com sci classroom. I scrambled the cube and got curious... so I twisted the corner and left it to solve. I went back to my assignment. A short bit later, the machine starts beeping incessantly and very loud. I crack up. The guys who made the thing were in the same class, they solved the cube and got stumped for a second, until I heard the guy say "Oh." He fixes the cube, scrambles it, and puts it in the machine. It works fine again. Dumb little moment that still makes me laugh.
