You can escape ogre's ff2 by pressing D or U not F

Just to clarify
- in Tag 1 the average health was 108 health. Most characters had 108 health. Fragile characters (most females or the older farts like Heihachi and Wang, also Roger/Alex because they were smaller animals idk) had 100 health. King had 109. AK and Ganryu had 111. Ogre had 115. Jacks, Bears, True Ogre, Angel and Devil had 120 health. So yes Angel and Devil had the maximum amount of health.
- Angel/Devil WGF was not true mid, it was a special mid (like normal d+1 low jab), however, if you blocked it low, it would have greater pushback and be zero frames on block.
- you can escape the stagger from a df+2 hit by holding down. Useful because Devil cannot launch you if you do that.
- the usual combo after Ogres Waning Moon was Blazing Kick on the opponent's back, tagged to a running cross chop from Ogre's partner. This does a lot of damage

Devil's df1 so powerful, the opponents take damage just by seeing it

Ogre also had 11 frame ws+3, 3, df+3, 3 infinite kicks that did huge damage in four hits. It was very damaging on normal hit, but even worse on counter. Man, I miss countering strings with high hits with ol ws+3.

Ogre and Kazuya makes Akuma and Geese look like Toddlers

i remember TTT1 certain characters had more health than others! But the graphics on this game for ps2 launch title ( nov 2000 in uk ) looked sick same with T4.

We need a video covering Prototype Jack's comical weaknesses in the same game now. :P

I was wondering when you would get to TTT1. Mishimas and Ogres all day, the worse offenders being DK and Ogre.

Ogres u+4 is arguably the most broken thing about him because the range of that hop kick has is so insane it's extremely hard to gauge the range of this move. Devil imo was easy to deal with mainly because I used Bruce/Bryan back then and both had punch parry, I could interrupt the 2 in Devils d/f+1, 2 100% of the time with both Bruce and Bryan.

Yea people give the Ogre's and Jin shit for being overproportioned in TTT1, but Devil is just way better. He is almost a auto-win button.

Btw: i think you can also escape Ogre's F2 by sidestepping

True ogre was arguably even worse than ancient

I wonder what the developers were thinking about how strong a character is, then.
And how they think of character strength, now.

Wgf was special mid for devil and kaz. Ewgf for Jin and hei were special mid only if tag buffered. The last truly mid wgf was hei in T3.

Also d/f+2 could guarantee a perfectly timed wgf especially slightly off angle

Tekken 3 ogre was more cheap. That waning moon had guaranteed setups into Hwoarang’s special uf 3, 4, 3 (I suddenly forgot the name of the move.)

You can escape ogre's spear by BACK-DASH or SIDE-STEP ... Back dashing is best option because you can punish ogre after escaping but in sidestep escape you can't do that

WGF is not mid, its special mid. That "combo" at 1:11 can be techrolled. Repeated f+4s are NOT a combo, dont trust the TTT practise mode combo counter. df+2 into deep dash WGF is guarantied, unless escaped by holding d (makes you fall to the ground from the nosebleed)

Devil and Ogre at least make sense being overpowered fighters. They are boss characters, after all.

Jin Kazama TT1 is more powerful dynamic and stronger than nowdays Devil Jin in T7 !
