Unsubmitted(?) Madonna/MTV Make My Video contest entry 1986

I have no idea who these people are or where this is. Comments say there was an MTV "Make My Video" contest for this song and this was a likely entry, they obviously didn't win.

However, I should say that this ended up on a 1985 video dealer trailer tape from New World Home Video, and it wasn't til I checked it out that I discovered that it had been recorded over with this! I would've much rather had the trailer tape; whoever shot this must have worked for a video store. This has a Hi-Fi track on it also, which was rare on VHS camcorders. Anyways, because they ruined that tape they now get to have this on the internet for all to see- I think that's fair enough.

What we have here is someone’s entry into the infamous “Madonna’s Make My Video” contest. In 1986, Madonna and MTV had a “Make My Video” contest for Madonna’s song, “True Blue”. People from all over the U.S. created homemade music videos for “True Blue” and sent them into MTV on VHS and Beta to be judged and hopefully selected by Madonna to be the official music video for “True Blue”. I remember when all the entries were in, MTV played every single one of them on-air for an entire day or two or three. It was nuts. I remember this well. I was a junior in high school.

Wow, I remember the contest well! MTV was promoting the living hell out of this contest when Madonna released the single for "True Blue" in the spring of 86. This entry (if it was one) is pretty awful LOL...but a hysterical and historic find none the less. I remember the winner, which became the official video for a few months until Madonna made her own official one. Searched youtube and found it! Hadn't seen it in years...but here was the winner :
