I Handsew a Regency Reticule | The Bridgerton Project

I make a Regency/Jane Austen era reticule to match the dress I made that was inspired by the 2020 Netflix show Bridgerton, specifically the Featherington family. I layer a beaded lace fabric over a poly silk using garish bright colors to create this reticule, a historical purse. I create the pattern from scratch and show how I hand sew all the parts together. Hand sewing is not necessary, but I just really enjoy it.

This is part 4 of my Bridgerton project, I'll have a final reveal of the entire outfit hopefully soon.

Bonus: Diana the Corgi and Bean the Chihuahua dogs

This just may be one of the beautiful things I have seen anyone make!

Your videos are wonderful to watch. I made your 'A Ciderella Story' chemise for a project a few months ago and now I made this reticule in like 2 hours, it's so easy and beautiful (I did a lot with the machine). Thank you!

Thank you so much for this ❤ you made it so clear and simple so even a beginner like myself could follow along. I'm excited to make stuff from your other videos ❤

The colors look so pretty! I love the pink flowers and the tassel that includes into the design.

This vid is perfect! I'm going to The Bridgerton Experience in a couple of weeks & I want to have a purse to match the dress I'm making

It's lovely and the tassel is just perfect. Fantastic to see all the beading you removed getting used for finishing touches on the project. I'll have to consider doing that with some of the many saved beads I have amassed.

Stunning work! On a whim, I decided to make a reticule to match the gown I'm making for a friend (mostly because I'm procrastinating on the bodice topstitching). Planning on some beaded tassels, but we'll see. Thank you for showing your step-by-step process!
