Chitarrone (Theorbo): Yuichi Sasaki
Biography
Yuichi Sasaki was born in 1986 in Japan. Sasaki started playing guitar at the age of eleven. He was tutored by Masaki Kikuchi, among others. He became a student of Aniello Desiderio and Hubert Käppel in 2012 at the International Koblenz Guitar Academy. He then continued his study from 2016 to 2018 at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln, studying lute with Professor Konrad Junghähnel. He has been studying lute with Professor David Bergmüller since October of 2018.
Since then, Sasaki has been offered/asked to play as a solo player as well as continuoplayer with renowned Baroque orchestras. He is known by various ensembles – including rock and pop music- as a reputable player.
