Thanks Zack, this news is going to come in handy when a 23 mile long ice cube gets dumped into the world’s ocean

New fear unlocked: some random alien dropping a big ice cube into the ocean attempting to cool it down but fails and causes tsunami

Fun fact.. Due to water displacement. The cube would cause flooding and tsunamis as soon as it's dropped, not when melted. Therefore, there will be no difference if it's melted or not (unless it's sitting at the bottom of the ocean)

The Yamato's crew at the beginning was probably wondering what kind of weapon the USA were using on them this time

Correction: as free-floating icebergs don't rise the sea level when melting, so won't the cube. Ocean level will rise the moment the cube gets submerged in water, not when it melts.

fun fact...
Ice is a solid form of water that exhibits a range of fascinating properties and plays a crucial role in various natural and human-made systems. At its core, ice is formed when water molecules slow down and come together in a crystalline structure, typically occurring at temperatures below 0°C (32°F). This process can happen in various environments, from the freezing of lakes and rivers to the formation of glaciers and ice sheets in polar regions. One of the most interesting aspects of ice is its unique density, which is lower than that of liquid water, causing it to float on top. This property has significant implications for aquatic ecosystems and global climate patterns. For instance, the formation of sea ice in polar regions helps regulate Earth's temperature by reflecting sunlight back into space, while the melting of glaciers and ice sheets contributes to sea-level rise. Ice also plays a critical role in human activities, such as recreation, transportation, and food preservation. From the thrill of ice skating and ice climbing to the importance of sea ice for maritime navigation and ice rinks for sports, ice is an integral part of many cultures and economies. Furthermore, the study of ice and its properties has led to significant advances in fields like materials science, geology, and climate science. By understanding the complex dynamics of ice formation, melting, and movement, scientists can better predict and mitigate the impacts of climate change, ultimately informing policies and practices that promote sustainability and resilience in the face of a rapidly changing world. Whether in nature or in human applications, ice remains a fascinating and multifaceted substance that continues to captivate scientists, policymakers, and the general public alike.

Noted: don’t throw a 23x23 mile wide ice cube into the ocean from above. Got it, thanks Zach 🤞
