Use to play EVERYDAY addicted to this game since 2k18 with 4-6 builds by now. Barely get 2-4 games a WEEK, 2 builds and close to quitting it’s that UNPLAYABLE💔

I know I’m an old head on 2k, been running since 2k11 mycrews when people were usb stick uploading 7’6 MJ lookalikes. Been through the gamebattles years where everyone used the clippers, Knicks, lakers, okc, cheese. Where people used to sit out of bounds under the basket to not get a 3 second call. I’ve seen it all, but I always came back because I knew if I had my homies playing basketball the right way, cutting moving the ball, getting open, you could always have a fighting chance. If you had IQ and teamwork, you didn’t need to have the best animations, the optimal shot, the most fine tuned builds so that every person perfectly compliments each other. But every year, the skill gap reduces more and more and more. 2k rewards bad selfish gameplay. It rewards playing PNR with a 99 3 PG and a 99 O rebounding center and the other three sitting on the wings. It rewards not passing the ball with unrealistic steal animations. It rewards players with 0 perimeter defense and 99 steal just spamming X. It rewards lazy 2-3 zones instead of well balanced builds where you can actually defend. I don’t win or lose this year, the game just decides if I win or lose. And ya maybe I’m trash but I shouldn’t have to sweat all the time just to have fun playing basketball without needing to spend hours strategizing builds and animations and setups. Just let us hoop man. Reward us when we make a good basketball play. I guarantee if 2k does that, the community will be forced to adapt. And they can do it, but they won’t, cuz it doesn’t maximize the number of builds people pay for.

We bought *NBA* 2k25 and people don’t even use nba teams anymore. There’s no substitutions, there’s no understanding who is capable of what. Some players can shoot only, some can only rebound, some are all around. That was so much fun. Now, you make your guy be good at one thing and that’s the only thing you need to do. And people see these legends like they’re nice, nah they just good little sheep that find the exploits in the system, and pay a bunch of money to do it too. At this point, I get one build and just ride with it. I get my basketball fix and I move on. Such a shame where we’ve gotten to.

I love that they added a visual cue bar on the jumpshot creator then they made the green window move on every shot, completely undoing the reason for visual cue

Unfortunately, this is the worst iteration of 2K to date. In recent years, there has been a noticeable push to turn the game into a gambling simulation. This year, RNG have been amplified to the point where player control feels secondary, making the experience heavily dependent on chance. This approach preys on customers and borders on unethical business practices, exploiting its customer by fostering gambling addiction. In other years, players had more control over gameplay, but now the algorithm dictates the experience. This level of exploitation of the customer base is deeply concerning and should be illegal.

The only thing consistent about this game is that it's consistently stupid! Bricking wide open shots under the goal with a 92 close shot is dumb. I mean WIDE OPEN

I got back on 2K25 after a 2 week break and I didn’t get that feeling I usually get when I haven’t loaded it up in a while… I actually dreaded it, but played for the homies. This year’s “trash” is on a different level.

This one of my favorite 2ks just because I don’t have to grind so much. I can just use VC. For me it’s more quality of life. I can pretty much get my player how I want. Time is more valuable to me personally

5:35 I currently work a 4 day on 4 day off schedule and on my 4 days I decided to play 2K I must admit this game is the worst its ever been in years… It feels like I’m playing against my team, the opponent and some mysterious force that lets me make a shot when it wants to… I’m not kidding I’ve literally mistime my jumper on purpose and still hit the shot… Then people expect you to be a 5 star player on a 2 star game shit wack what this community and game has become.

It is really bad, but I'm only able to play on Saturday and Sunday due to work, but when I get on I'm not tryna get off the game lol, so can't keep a squad together due to frustrating shooting, animations etc.... then it's off to another game
