This video shows you how to remove the deck from your Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro Series riding lawn mower and how to put it back on. In the video I will demonstrate on my LT46 model lawn tractor, but this will work almost the exact same for LT42 and LT50 models, as well as many others, including the XT2 series.

My “how to” videos for this mower:
Cleaning Under Deck Belt Covers - Rust Prevention

🎉I did it😢😊I did it!!
It took me over 3 weeks but i did it!!
I stop & started this video over 200 times.
One clip took me over a week to remove(I've absolutely NO strength in my hands to grip or at time to remove the bolts.)
I let an idiot(cheap labor handyman)use my BRAND NEW Cub Cadet LT46 he bent the blade & broke the belt🤦🏽‍♀️ & the refused to fix it or pay for the repairs.
But THANK YOU GOD for yours video.
What a blessing & money💰saver.
🎉Now I'm ready for your next Cub Cadet videos.🎉
🎊Thanks for all that you do🙏🏽

Thank you so much for this video! I am not at all mechanically inclined and never would have thought I could remove and re-install the mower deck myself, but I successfully did it by following your instructions.

As a new & 1st time riding mower owner, I find your instructions very helpful. Thanks very much.

Being a 1st class EXPERT on how to change what should be a 10 minute job into one that takes an hour (or more), I am offended at myself for not being able to "figure this out"! Seriously, I am "mechanically challenged" and your video was such a BIG help to me. Now I know where to turn to when I have a problem with this mower! I really do appreciate you taking the time to produce this video!

I want to thank you for this. I have watched numerous vids, incl the factory vid (which showed incorrect info!...must have been a model update or something), and yours was by far the clearest, most concise and professional of the bunch! And I did subscribe. Thanks again!

Thank you for all the extra steps you took to make this video. You were obviously so meticulous in that a single step did not go unfilmed (I'm sure that takes time and forethought), the lighting was good, you explained why each step was done, and you were clear and efficient with your instruction. So many how to videos leave out a few small details that can cause just enough confusion to slow down the project for the viewer, but you made this 100% clear, and I appreciate that so much. My 73 year old mother who has the mechanical inclination of a rock could probably pull this off watching your video. Thank you, sir.

Great vid. I have 60 hours on my XT1 and have never changed the blades. I am planning on doing that this weekend. Super helpful!

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm not the most handy person and usually struggle reading a manual. This video made it a breeze. I was able to remove the deck, clean all the grass, install new blades and re-install the deck in about 50 minutes. Subscribed!

You're a rock star. After owning this mower for just over a year I bent a blade on a root and had to remove the deck just to roll it into the garage for repairs. This video made the task easy and intuitive. Thanks a lot.

Thanks, your video was priceless. The owners manual is worthless. I needed to remove the deck to install a mulching kit.

You are mechanically gifted. A pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Wonderful teacher!

I rarely comment, but Brother you are Great! Thank you for taking the time to help. Sometimes it's the "simple things" (those clips!) that you know there is a right way and many wrong ways. After watching you and realizing the grip and to pull down as you slide, I had it. First Tractor. Your explanation, camera use and insight is fantastic. Others will learn from you. Please keep your videos coming. Very grateful Sir.
I'm going to check out your channel!

THANK YOU for this video, showing me how easy it is to take the deck off of my mower. Your vid is cut, dry, and to the point. I just got one of these beauts a week ago, and am about to install the mulch plug and blades, and I credit your video with showing how easy removing the deck is, without 4 million optionals to confuse you.

Thank you! Really a fantastic video. There are tons of DIY tutorials and many are confusing, not good video angles, or just wrong. You are an asset to this community. Thanks again for making this 'scary' job as simple to do as it really is. A+++

The owners manual said I was supposed to loosen, and remove, an idler wheel bolt, and a screw. I didn’t understand what they were talking about, and using your instructions I didn’t need to.

Thank you so much for the video! My cub cadet stopped working some weeks ago, and I was afraid to check it myself (I'm a woman with zero mechanical knowledge). But your video give me the confidence to try, and I'm so happy I did it. I think in under 30-minutes I removed the deck, and finally could see the transmission drive belt. I will try next to change that belt, and hopefully correct the problem!
Thank you!!

Thanks so much. This video was so easy to follow. I was able to do this all on my own despite never having done anything handy in my life.

Bought an XT1 42inch this spring. Yesterday did a number on one of the blades. This tutorial is better than the manual. Thanks!

Thank you for this extremely helpful video. Like several folks said, my biggest struggle was with the cable.
