Tom Hardy Apologizes to Charlize Theron for Bad Behavior on 'Mad Max' Set

According to a book about the making of 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' Charlize Theron said she felt threatened by co-star Tom Hardy's on-set antics and aggressiveness.

Hardy apologized, writing in an email to the book's author that he was "in over his head" and that Theron needed a better, more experienced partner in him.

For everyone who hasn't read the book. Every crew member, even the Director was on Charlize's side. The shoot was supposed to start at 8. He came to the set at 11 o clock with the entire cast and crew waiting for him. I would have yelled at him too

Tom Hardy was right to apologize. He could've done it back then when he arrived late for the shoot, but still better to acknowledge what he did was wrong. Hopefully he also defends Charlize Theron from all the fools trying to vilify her for telling a true story.

I read some of the comments that some of the people who worked on the movie and they were saying that Tom was very unprofessional and that they thought that Charlize and Tom's relationship was quite similar to the characters they were playing. They said by the end, Tom softened up a lot and everyone was surprised. His apology was a good apology. From what ive read tho, Charlize didnt even try to make things better, she just kinda egged him on and was rude. Both of them were definitely at fault. When it came to what went on behind the scenes with their relationship. From what ive heard, Tom is better to work with now however Charlize is still hard to work with. I also read that it depended on what Tom was working on especially if he had to do some type of body transformation quickly because that would be one of the things that would rile him up and it depended on who he was working with. Either way, both of them were at fault. In the end tho, Mad Max was a good movie even with the hardships.

Epic movie! One of the best ever made. Tom is a method actor, doubt he would blow his career for assault. They’ve both gained a lot from that movie, even if it was hell to make. Both are A+ actors.
