I was raised Protestant and used to say "we have all the good songs". But we didn't have Palestrina. This is the music of Heaven.

The Catholics were number one in music, art, literature and overall worship in the days of old. These beautiful sisters are proof.
Let’s bring it back!

Simply angelic! Thank you, Sisters! Beautifully sung! Whenever I hear this piece, fond memories flood my soul. I first heard this piece as a teenager at my Confirmation. I thought the angels were singing! I think the words set to music by Palestrina convey so well the yearning we have for God. That same sentiment expressed by St. Augustine in his Confessions: “Thou hast made us for Thyself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee.”

Very beautiful, brings tears to my eyes. I am Orthodox and hearing this it aches deep in my soul that we are in schism.

Huge respect and admiration for women choosing to dedicate their lives to God in this way, in this modern age which has such strong temptations.

I sang this in church choir many years ago. It is one of the most sublimely exquisite, holy pieces of music ever written--divinely inspired. This is a glimpse of paradise.

As the deer pants for the running waters, so my soul longs after you, O God. Athirst is my soul for God, the living God. (Psalm 42: 2-3)
