My mom walked into my room once to hear me listening to this and she stared at me for a littke while and then took my phone saying "CHILD NO!"

From the imagery in her lyrics and the desperation in her voice, I definitely understood it from the perspective of someone struggling with PTSD or another anxiety disorder, but maybe that's just because I have PTSD. I personally find it kind of insensitive to compare this kind of experience to high school or a lack of wi-fi or phone signal.
