Probably the most important communication in every mound visit I’m seeing here is the “look at me” command.

There is no better way to make sure your advice is being heard, even if they don’t capitalize on it. At least you know you were heard and your message was received no matter how frustrated the pitcher is.

Fantastic coaching Dan.

Very good stuff. When I was pitching in a men's league in Rapid City, SD my catcher came out to me and said "This dickhead on 2nd is trying to steal the signs." We obviously changed them on the spot but I always smile when I think about that visit.

You're absolutely correct. These are rare mic ups and I love it. Keep up the hard work coach.

Thanks Dan. Always helpful for those of us who need to upgrade our pitching knowledge.

I like the “look at me” commands. It’s important for the pitcher to appear together and composed. One of my favorite things is seeing the opposing pitcher getting noticeably frustrated. The game is in the bag at that point.

This is a really helpful video for those of us with less experience pitching. How would you approach mound visits differently with younger players? 13u? 12U? younger?
