Great video very helpful thanks. I currently trying to use Matlab to apply a temperature formula to each node of a square plate represented in 5 by 5 matrix. i was hoping there would be a way to have matlab apply this formula to each node symbolically using like a 'for loop' and separate the constants so i can an Ax=b form to solve for the temperatures at each node using x=A^-1 b. Do you have any idea on how to do this. Thanks

Very helpful to get started. I was trying to solve a 2 variable eqn. upon solving i get the answer in terms of root0f ( bla bla, z) . What does that mean and how do i substitute values and get a numeric soultion?

when i try to do syms x it comes up with "Undefined function 'syms' for input arguments of type 'char'." do you know why this could be?

You might want to either pull this video or alter the content. Matlab doesn't work the same anymore. It would be nice to have current content rather than trying to debug your old code.
