I personally have no use for cheap fabric. If I want to make a toile I buy thrifted sheets. When I make clothes I wanted them to be quality. I feel like if I use cheap fabric I'm just making fast fashion.

Summerween! Bah, humbug! As for Christmas crap, what happened to treasured Christmas decorations and ornaments made by people you know? I still have silver sprayed and glittered real fir cones gathered by my grandmother in the 1960s, now passed on to her great grandchildren. These treasured items to be lovingly stored and used year after year. Only replaced glass balls after the cats break them. 😼 LED lights are a good replacement.

Hobby Lobby doesn't carry Halloween because they're a Christian corporation and won't sell occult/demonic items. Costco in July had on display the Halloween animatronics.

In the 80s, Michaels carried fabric the yard. About the early 90s they phased out the fabric bolts. I know this, because they had it on sale for really low prices, so I bought a bunch for quilting and I still have some in my stash.

The Joannns I work at does not have Christmas yet...But the truck delivery for today hasn't been sorted before my shift ended. Crafters need their supplies early for craft shows, But we are getting more home dec than craft supplies.

I love Halloween 🎃 I live for the autumn season! But the consumerism is rampant man. I'm even a fan of summerween ideas cuz I love spooky witchy anything. But I'm not gunna but everything that is trending. It's too much. Who can afford it and who can store it all????

I have always shopped for Halloween early but it's because it's my all year long home decor. I have a Victorian naturalist semi goth style and it's the only time I can find in stores. I have a little bit of Halloween for actual Halloween but the rest is home decor.
