This is the best dust solution for miter saw. I came across this last week and made a similar version. It sucks in nearly all of the dust and I don't have to remove it when I cut angles or bevels. Thanks!

Yours works a hell of a lot better than the one I made, and mine is very similar. Mine probable covers more of the saw area than yours and the air is sucked through a vac hose opening in the bottom. I believe the Makita directs the dust to the back much better than my Craftsman and you probably have stronger air flow with your dust collector.

Awesome setup. You may have found the most elegant system yet for the miter saw. I particularly like the small depth, compared to some other You Tuber's solutions. I checked your website to find a source for the 1.5" flex hose and can't get a source. The Drillspot outfit doesn't seem available. I am not on FB.

Are there other sources for clear flexible hose of that size. Any assistance would be appreciated.

WOW, works great! What are you using to create air flow? It looks like you have a HOSE plus the HOOD. are they connected to separate machines also?
I like the SLOT design. Makes sense, I'll incorporate that idea in my design. mine has to be mobile for the job site.
