Great video, but about your steps sequence: you really should have soldered the wire to the conversion pcb before putting it against the screen. The screen is a sandwich of plastic, and 350⁰C is way more than you need to melt something or at least leave some stain on the screen. You did it very fast so it was safe. But as it is a tutorial, someone couldn't have the same luck

I have modded hundreds of game boys and believe me, I've already done all kind of mistakes and loose a lot of parts 😂

32 year old here, veteran to many Gameboys and early 90s consoles. Just got done upgrading my display thanks to your tutorial. Having a better understanding of the Pokemon scene and obviously better game knowledge makes the thought of starting the original series over again that much more exciting. Just installed my OLED screen following your instructions, went flawlessly. If you see crazy multicolored vertical lines the ribbon cable needs to be reseated. Screen looks incredible!
