This is a taste test/review of the Netflix Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream in three flavors including Pineapple Upside Down, Triple Decker Extravaganza and U.S.S. Butterscotch. They were $4.96 each at Walmart.

The Pineapple Upside Down I tried also had the same texture you described. I liked it, but I noticed the shelves at my local store had a lot of that flavor left while most others were down to one or two each.

There is actually a 7th one called The Void. It’s black vanilla ice cream with strawberry swirls and vanilla cream cookies. Great review! I bet I would like all 3.

Finally just opened my pineapple upside down. Boy howdy I wish I could send you a picture! A massive swirl of caramel on top. Absolutely beautiful. On the first scoop I agree with you on the icy texture but it totally works the pineapple especially with the caramel is delicious. Only got a few cake pieces but it doesn't matter it still tastes exactly like pineapple upside down cake and when you get a bite of caramel with it it is magical!

Awww, too bad about the triple decker maple flavor because I was looking forward to but also the soggy waffle.
The pineapple upside down sounds like a winner but if they didn’t have that I would try the USS B.
Curiosity has gotten to me. Waiting for the next group. Music goes along w my curiosity. Lol, love it.

I liked the U.S.S. butterscotch, just wish it had a stronger butterscotch flavor. Definitely yummy though!

I know Duncan Hines had a pineapple cake… it’s good… I made a coconut frosting to go with it… family loved it!!! None of these sound amazing… I’d probably just get the great value 48 oz. For $3 or less… or Ben and Jerry’s… which is about the same size abd pruce as these… I agree with Kevin… should’ve done just butterscotch.

I am so disappointed hearing about the Butterscotch. I would want like a Butterscotch ice cream. A ribbon of just Butterscotch would be ok. I don't want any chocolate in there at all. The only ice cream that I like any chocolate in is Mint Chocolate Chip. The first episodes with Steve at Scoops Ahoy and introducing Robin, were hilarious. Side note-maybe because we're Palermo's home base, the Surfer Boy pizzas are a regular item up here. They are at Walmart, Pick N Save, Piggly Wiggly and Woodman's.

I was looking forward to the Triple Decker, but I don’t think I would like it based on the way you describe the texture. I wish the Pineapple Upside Down wasn’t so icy, because the flavor sounds delicious. I’m going for the U.S.S Butterscotch. Great review.

I got the pineapple upside down cake ice cream and yeah I was thrown off by the texture. Definitely not the same texture as like a chocolate or vanilla ice cream.

The butterscotch is the only interesting one to me out of the three. Tbh I know little to nothing about the show (nobody come after meeee) so these wouldn't entice me. Looking forward to seeing how the others fare, though... I'm sure they will be popular.
And hopefully they're better than the triple decker.. 😖Sounds like a texture nightmare.
