Just a tip! Don’t dip your hair in the blue lagoon it doesn’t do the job for your hair it’s only for your body!

ok as someone who has been there, here are some tips for if you go!!

1. if you go into the lagoon, put your hair up and dont let the water touch your hair because the water has really high salt levels and chemicals that will kill you hair

2. the salt water is AMAZING for your skin

3. Iceland is very remote, so dont expect to find foods that you recognize

4. iceland has some of the best skin care products so make sure you get some to take home!!

5. the workers there are so nice so make sure to show them some appreciation and respect!!!

I was at the Blue Lagoon in 1983, damn sure didn't look like that. There was a small shack to change your clothes. Unbelievable what they've done there.

Put your hair up next time!! The water is really bad for your hair and can damage it. It’s still good for your skin though xxx

Ohh i remember going here when i was 8. We just landed in Iceland and we went here from the airport with my grandparents and parents. I’m 14 now i and want to be there again

Can I just say that traveling across the globe with your kids is such a beautiful thing to see! When they’re our age and look back some of their happiest memories growing up will be these. Cherish and celebrate your children everyday as one day they will cherish and celebrate their memories of such an incredible childhood!

Just a Quick safety tip for Young kids, give them a swimbelt and not wings. The wings gives them the wrong balance point, and thats dangerous when they start learning to swim.

I went a few weeks ago. It was amazing! You have to wet your hair before you go in the lagoon because the lagoon is hot and you will prob be cold after you wet ur hair! There were drinks and face masks. I only did one mask which was the moisturizing one! I also had a slushy 😜 The water was steaming and soo relaxing! You can also buy a massage. Instead of just wetting your hair before you get in, i recommend showering or at least that’s what i did. but DO NOT wet your hair in the lagoon. Thank God i found out your hair will be really tangled if you let it soak in the water. I tied my hair into a high bun so it wouldn’t touch the water. I also recommend putting a ton of conditioner before you get in. I even put conditioner on the top of my head because i also showered after i got out of the lagoon. Trust me the conditioner helps because a few hair strands fell into the lagoon, but my hair was still fine. Plus if you shower after you get out of the lagoon then you can just wash the excess conditioner off. Btw, the lagoon has showers inside. It also has a little food shop, cafe, and souvenir shop. The water is so relaxing. I was going for vacation but i only stayed one day because i was going to Brussels but my layover was in iceland. I live in the U.S though. Overall i love the lagoon

I just got back from Iceland, but I visited the Sky Lagoon which I loved so much! Hopefully my next trip back to Iceland I can visit the Blue Lagoon. 😍
