Mini v Alfa Romeo: Epic 'Italian Job' chase

In our homage to the legendary Michael Caine film, the Italian job, in which Mini Coopers are chased by Italian Alfa ROmeo Police Cars, we look back at a classic head to head. Goodwood Revival 2015 sees a great battle between a Mini and Alfa during the St Mary’s Trophy - Mini battles to over take the Alfa, fails, keeps trying, then finally over takes… Just when you think it’s all winning, the Alfa takes over leaving the Mini to stay behind once again

I love the coverage put on the net for the Goodwood meetings. Camera work and commentary captures the racing perfectly. The cars are beautiful and the racing is fantastic.

I've never driven a more fun car than my 1980 mini special. 18 yrs old and I felt like Sterling Moss. No braking on tight corners just mash the go pedal and hang on. Miss the good old days

Minis are amazing on tight circuits, but always lose out on the straight bits; as some wag said "If God had intended Minis to go fast, he would have given them bigger wheels!"
