Just a slight correction, Doctor Calip is around the statues at midday, so you can talk to him then to get the quest

I love how Nintendo chose to give ZERO hint on where to find the statue after talking to the guy in the cabin so you have to go to youtube and listen to some stuffy nerd explain it. Thanks Nintendo.
