Zac Efron rushed to the hospital after swimming pool incident in Ibiza

Zac Efron was taken to the hospital Friday night following a “minor swimming incident” in Spain, according to his representative who spoke with TMZ on Saturday.

The 36-year-old “High School Musical” star was reportedly discovered in the pool of a villa in Ibiza by two workers who then helped him out of the water.

It remains unclear whether Efron experienced a medical emergency or was at risk of drowning. However, his representative clarified that the hospitalization was a “precautionary measure.”

Efron was released from the hospital on Saturday morning and is reported to be doing “fine.”

The “Greatest Showman” star has not yet addressed the incident on social media.

Efron was in Spain as part of his European trip for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he attended the Games' opening ceremony on July 26. He posted a photo of himself by the Seine River during that time.
