Derek McInnes insists there's no thoughts of a free hit heading to Celtic Park.

Not many would blame the Kilmarnock boss for having one eye on the impending semi-final looming next Saturday against the same opponents, but he says his side's full focus is on bagging three points in the east end of Glasgow.

If they're to do so they'd have to be the first Scottish team to win at Celtic Park since Ange Postecoglou was appointed, but a result would be the perfect tonic ahead of the Ayrshire side's first trip to Hampden in 11 years.

Speaking ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash, McInnes said: “It would be good to become the first but we’re on a run of games now where we’re going to be stretched and tested but I’m looking forward to it for a load of reasons.

“We’ve just entered a window and our aim is to come out of it as a bit more rounded as a squad but I’m interested in how my team copes at Parkhead and how they deal with the problems which arise.
