Hey Guys!, Did you really finish this tutorial? Why nobody asking questions? Was it easy to solve?
When you proceed with this tutorial, you will be stuck because you cannot see same result in 1:26:10.

The pieces position(P) will not move according to the "down" vector.
Because it was set to "Primitives Data" not "Point Data" in 42:34.
If you change 'down' vector type, from"Primitives" to "Point" and save the cache again(46:12), you can solve this problem.
Then you will also see correct result about velocity line 1:29:13.
I don't know if it's because of editing in the video, but it wasn't mentioned.

If you don't solve this, you can't also proceed to next step 'FX_RBD_Secondary' (1:30:50).
Because 'FX_RBD_Secondary' use velocity attribute from 'FX_RBD_MOON'

I'm a beginner, so it was too hard to solve this. T_T

+Watch out 1:23:48 Line 9 // 0, 1 -> 1, 0 it was changed and not mentioned.

I saw this animation, a few months ago and was completely blown away by the detail and just general coolness. The fact that I can now watch a tutorial on how to replicate it is blowing my mind even more!!

We truly needs a live adaptation with 'Gantz:O' graphics seriously, imagine...

That's awesome, the main reason why I wanted to learn houdini is to make this kind of effects from One Punch Man!!! Now I hope I'll be able to reproduce it

Id love to see a version of this with a glow coming from the cracks, all that compression that quickly at that scale is bound to generate some heat

43:22 spent a few days trying to make the noise working. Had no noise at that step.
Here are the settings which made the noise work, if anyone has the same issue:

Attribute names = Vector P
Attribute Class = Point
Range Values = Positive Values Add
Noise Type = Simplex

The rest of settings are default.

My mistake was setting the Range Values as "Set", while I should have chosen the setting "Add"

It's quite crazy how far houdini came from being picked up as pixars updated version to its current stand alone scenario driven monster. Hopefully some of the simulations remain current.
